End User (Subscriber) Benefits:

  1. Delivery Tracking. One of the biggest concerns with regard to fax-to-email is verification of point-to-point delivery of the fax (hereafter referred to in the broader context of a “message”).
    1. “Legal Tender” compliance with respect to South African Law. A written legal opinion to this affect was completed by Adv. van Heerden in 2007.
  2. Methods of message collection and distribution. FaxPlatform offers the following methods for message delivery: email, Web Browser (https), YaBroo (secure Java based desktop download – see section 5 below), API
  3. API (Application Program Interface). Bespoke solutions as required including Intranet systems integration, 3rd party integration (SAP, etc), integration into Directory Services, etc.
  4. Security services (as per the Security document). This becomes one of the most important differentiators when offering corporate services as it enables (using XML-RPC) seamless integration of the FaxPlatform end user application into their corporate system/s via the API.
  5. LCR and disintermediation services to reduce subscriber costs when sending to another FaxPlatform subscriber, specifically FaxOut to other 08660/6 numbers.
  6. FaxOut services, including Print-to-fax, email-to-fax, Web Browser, YaBroo (desktop application).
  7. SARS compliance with respect to offsite archiving of messages, with real time access to archived messages. Fax documents are stored for 5 years at the end-user’s discretion.
  8. Message Encryption, utilising 256 bit AES, as per the subscriber's preference.
  9. Built-in SMS services including SMS notification of message reception. Also offers, via YaBroo and Web Interface, outbound SMS services sent from the subscriber's mobile number.
  10. Bulk fax services. The subscriber can choose not to have the faxes emailed but rather have them downloadable to prevent congestion or confusion when a large number of messages are received. This can be fully controlled and managed by the subscriber. Using YaBroo messages can be automatically downloaded and placed directly into a file structure within the subscriber’s network without intervention by the Licensee.
  11. Complete FaxOut and SMSout notification for outbound messaging.
  12. Full secured Web Interface, via “https”, allowing the subscriber to completely manage his/her profile and options or value added services. Full profile and message management can be done via YaBroo.
  13. Compliant subscriber registration process, to ensure against abuse such as spam or incorrect registration detail, including customised personal detail management.
  14. Number picker, enabling a subscriber to pick a number of his/her choice.
  15. CSID management. Subscriber can specify the details displayed on the remote fax machine when calling in or out.
  16. Subscriber can specify maximum fax attachment size; in order to break up a fax into smaller files should email attachment size be an issue.
  17. PDF based e-key based original copy authentication – free service for PDF based message encapsulation.
  18. Confidentiality of messages on the system guaranteed.
  19. Fax Transmission Statements. Context sensitive message logs are sent to the subscriber detailing the subscribers in and out bound log.
