All you need to get started is a valid email address. Look for the "Sign Up Now" form in the left hand menu bar. Fill in your email address and click on the "Sign up" button.

On successful completion of the sign up process, you will receive an email inviting your to activate your account. Please click on the Accept button in the email - this will automatically link you to our website where you can confirm your details and activate your account.

Activation requires you to accept the terms and conditions and is necessary in order for us to confirm your email address and allocate your fax number to your email address.

Please send a blank email to register@fax.faxplatform.com which will automatically invite the email address you are sending from.

There's no delay. The moment you complete the sign-up process the number is allocated and activated, ready to receive faxes and send them to your email.

All faxes sent to your 08X fax number will be delivered to your email inbox. There will be a PDF attachment sent along with the email.

The PDF attachment is the fax that the sender has faxed to you. Open the PDF attachment to view your fax.

YES -  you don't pay a cent. NO SETUP, NO MONTHLY SUBSCRIPTION - ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. This service will remain FREE and there is no limit to the number and size of faxes received.

1. Create a new email and enter in the “To” field; enter the recipient fax number (without the leading 0) as follows

+27number@fax.faxplatform.com

It is possible to send to multiple recipients by adding their email-to-fax address in either the "To..." or "Cc..." fields

2. Enter a subject for your own reference.
3. The Body of your email will be used as the coversheet.
4. Attach the doc you want to send and it will be sent as a fax to the supplied fax number.

5. Your fax using email-to-fax is now ready to send – click the send button.

You should receive an automated email notification that the fax has been received by our system, followed shortly by a fax delivery notification.

Yabroo is a FREE desktop application designed to work in conjunction with your FREE fax-to-email number from FaxPlatform - giving you, the user,  direct interactive access to your fax communications.

Yabroo does this by offering a desktop application which securely collects/delivers messages to/from FaxPlatform without the user requiring his Internet browser or his email client.

The user is able to control all aspects of his FaxPlatform account from Yabroo in a more user-friendly, easier, and faster manner while offering greater functionality.

Yabroo also includes a free PDF maker (built by PDFCreator™) so that any document you could print can be converted into a PDF document.

Sending faxes from your PC is easy and we give you number of options to do so, i.e. email, YaBroo or from the web.

You will need to be logged into your account and have sufficient credit in order to send a fax via the web interface

1. Enter the recipients fax number without spaces for example: 0854123456, you must use the "+" sign and drop the leading "0" when adding the country code, for example: +27854123456
2. Enter the fax subject for your own reference
3. A coversheet is mandatory, enter the message in the text area supplied (limited to 160 characters)
4. Browse and attach the document you wish to fax (currently you can only send tiff documents from the web)
5. Click the icon to send the fax

Note : web to fax currently only supports uploading faxes in tiff format

We refer to sending faxes as FaxOut, this service is unfortunately NOT FREE. The FaxOut service is completely pre-paid so there are no unexpected bills from us - click here for more information relating to the costs of sending a fax.

Sending SMS's from the web.

You will need to be logged into your account and have sufficient credit in order to send an SMS via the web interface

1. Enter the recipients cell phone number without spaces for example: 08312345678, you must use the "+" sign and drop the leading "0" when adding the country code, for example: +27834580995
2. Enter the message in the text area (limited to 160 characters)
3. If you would like use your own cell phone as the sender id - check this option
4. You have to verify that the number you wish to use as the sender id is infact your number - you only have to do this once. Enter your cell phone number in the space provide and click the icon. A random verification number will be sms'd to the number supplied - you will have to enter this verifcation number in order to verify your number
5. Finally, click the send icon to send the SMS

Please login to your fax acount and click on the “Buy Credits” link. You can either make a direct deposit or EFT (Electronic Funds Transfer), or pay via credit card - detailed instructions are provided above the payment screen for each method.

If you wish to send sms' as if from your own cell phone, you will need to verify that the cell phone number you have supplied is in fact your own.

If your cell number does not appear - please click on the "My Details" link where you can capture your cell number in the contact information section of the form as indicated below

Click on the icon - the system will send you a verification number and the following alert will appear at the top of the page

enter the verification number that was sent to your cell phone then click the icon - once verified the "Verification Number" will no longer show in the send sms form and you will have the option of using your cell phone number as the sender id or not.

Note: If you change your cell phone number you will be required complete the verification procedure again

First time payments made by credit card are limited to R500.00 and we require that you verify the amount deducted from your bank account prior to allocation of the funds to your fax account. Once the credit card is verified then the credit card limit is as designated by the holder’s bank. The verification process is a once off procedure and protects both parties against potential fraud. 

Your account will be charged with a random amount that is slightly LESS than the payment recorded, for example if you entered an amount of R105.00 then you may be charged R104.22. You will need to check your credit card statement to verify the exact amount charged. Once you have this information go to your “Billing Detail” and click the link under status that should now read “Pending verification”

Select the payment reference from the drop-down selector and enter the actual amount that was charged to your credit card, then click on the “save” icon.

Once saved your verification history will be updated accordingly and the payment will now reflect on your account.

We earn revenue through a rebate system from Telkom for calls made to the allocated numbers. This revenue is sufficient for us to support this fax reception service at no charge to the end user, yet still delivering a corporate level service.

No. We reserve the right to reclaim a number if there has been no usage for 60-days. You will receive a warning email prior to the number being reclaimed. As long as you receive at least one fax every 60-days the number will remain yours.

The FAX is sent to you as a PDF Document (requires Adobe Acrobat Reader), TIFF File or PS File attached to an email. Most operating systems have a default viewer application installed.
